Sir Ranulph Fiennes posted on 1 May 2012
As if climbing the world’s most testing and highest mountains wasn’t challenging enough. Sir Ranulph Fiennes was entering his 60s, recovering from a severe heart attack, had no climbing experience and to top it off, suffered from vertigo when he set off on this latest adventure.
Now he takes to the stage of Cambridge’s Corn Exchange with high altitude mountaineer and photographer/cameraman Ian Parnell who accompanied him on his expeditions. Featuring previously unseen footage and still images, Fiennes and Parnell will describe what it’s like to stand on the top of the world, having raised over £1million for Marie Curie in the process.
