The Knebworth Country Show posted on 5 July 2012

Thousands are expected to flock to Knebworth Park over the weekend of 11 and 12 August for the Country Show, brought to you by the organisers of the extremely popular East of England Food Festival which took place in April.  Organisers Oakleigh Fairs say ‘We are delighted to be returning to Knebworth for the Country Show. It’s a fantastic setting and we really enjoy working with the team there.

Our events are designed with the whole family in mind – we want to deliver a really good weekend that everyone can enjoy – young and old.’

There really is something for everyone,  from Horkesley Park’s Heavy Horse Demonstration Team, The Goat Show featuring milking and cheese-making, children’s farm and Totally Ponies where your little ones can groom, tack up and walk our very own miniature ponies, Birds of Prey and Falconry display teams, ferret racing, Polly’s Parrots, traditional Punch and Judy shows, have-a-go Totally Terriers display team, as well as Knights of Honour battle re-enactments and medieval village and Fighting Knights, on Sunday the Companion Dog Show – so bring along a canine friend and have a go!  (And all proceeds from entries will go to Marie Curie Cancer Care).

And if that’s not all – as well as stick furniture making, greenwood and willow working, thatching, basket making and pole latheing there will also be other rural demonstration skills to enjoy and you can sample and buy in our Arts, Crafts and Gifts marquees as well as Lifestyle and Food Stalls.
