Acoustic Routes together with Cambridge Acoustic Nights present the third Basement Sessions gig on Saturday May 11 at CB2 in Norfolk St, Cambridge.
The Session will feature singer/songwriters Bernard Hoskin, Dave Streatfield and Rhys Wilson performing “in the round” taking it in turns to play songs, telling stories and sometimes accompanying each other. The evening will close with them as a band covering songs by some of the greats such as Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Jim Croce, The Band, Elton John.
The special guests for this one will be Bob Collum and Roxanne De Bastion. Bob is Oklahoma-born and performs his own brand of Anglicised Americana and powerpop. In the decade since he arrived in the UK, he’s come up with a series of memorable albums and has shared stages with an equally memorable cast list of the great and the good of American music.
Roxanne is a London based singer/songwriter who is heavily influenced by the music of the 1960s and has been compared to Bob Dylan, Ray Davies as well as current singer/songwriters such as Regina Spektor and Fiona Apple.
